Our very first conversion, Bertha holds a special place in our hearts! She features a sleek white interior with all the island adventure essentials. Two things to know: the bed is exactly 6 ft. long (about 4 inches shorter than our other vans), and when the battery depletes, you'll need to manually plug it into the cigarette lighter outlet — the solar panels charge it automatically, but it needs a nudge when it runs low. We knock a little off the nightly rate to account for the extra attention she requires. 🤍
Bertha fits a full bed (our customer rave about), large sink with a manual foot pump, fridge, a solar shower on the outside, a ventilation fan for a cooler night, a butane stove, and swivel seats with a swivel table for eating inside if it's rainy out.
Bertha has two 100 AH batteries that are charged via 400watts from the solar panels and off the alternator. If you hotspot off your phone, she's a great place to work remote from.
What's included:
Bertha includes: bug screens in the back, rain guards on the front windows, fresh linens, towels, kitchenware and cookware, french press, utensils, portable camping stove (for use outside of the van), and an outdoor mat to help keep things clean. She is set with all the kitchen amenities you could need for cooking three meals a day (french press, coffee grinder, wine opener, can opener, utensils, plates, cups, bowls, skillets, pots, and more!).

10% discount on nightly rate for bookings longer than 7 nights
20% discount on nightly rate for bookings longer than 2 weeks
30% discount on nightly rate for bookings longer than 3 weeks
⭐️ Monthly rate of $3,296 available upon request and depending on availability.
Security Deposit
A week prior to your trip we will secure a $1000 security deposit. The security deposit is never taken out of your account, it is simply an authorization hold on the funds that will be released within 7 days of the van being returned with no damage.
Known Issues
Bertha's floor is experiencing a bit of warping. If it's not a full sun day you do have to watch the electrical to charge from the alternator like explained above, but she's a happy and healthy gal. The outdoor table shown in some photos has been removed.
